Thanks for the wonderful gifts Steve and Mary, it was great to see you. At the next show, we will all wear our respective t-shirts and Denny will read excerpts from the Hanson Brothers biography to be followed by Den, Kevin and Steve re-enacting your favorite Hanson/Slap-Shot moments. Free of charge, of course.

September 10, 2009

Hello Jen,
Actually, the Lads have tried to book shows at the places you mentioned below(and a few others for that matter) with no luck. Perhaps Dutchess County is just not ready yet. Call your local pub up there and demand Shilelagh Law. It's your God-given right

Jenn Fitz

September 9, 2009

Just wondering if you guys are ever going to come up to Dutchess County area again. mainly Poughkeepsie, Wappinger Falls and Fishkill area. There are a lot of Irish Pubs in the area. The Keltic House, Kitty Maguire's..Since we moved outta the Bronx..been a little hard so you lads..so how bout it??

Bernadette

August 27, 2009

Yes the folks in Rockaway do refer to uptown and downtown...but within the Breezy Point Coop we've always referred it as the three different areas...

You can check our site: www.thewildrovers.com

Also, does BSP do bookings for other bands? We'd be happy to open for you as we have for Andy Cooney, Cherish the Ladies and the Wolfe-Tones.

This Saturday, hours before the Law hit the stage, NYAC Rugby (the current Super League National Champions) are hosting our 9/11 Memorial Tourney, called the Remembrance Cup. This will be our 6th time hosting this tourney to honor our fallen friends : Sean Lugano, Brent Woodall, and Mark Ludvigsen, and Tom Foley and Mike Stewart of Old Blue (who will also be in attendance).

First game at approx 10 am. This year's teams include NYAC, Old Blue NY, Olympic Club (Cali) and Trinity (Dublin). Games will continue on throughout the day. Food and drink should be availalbe (as they always are), but I don't know the details yet. This isn't paid admission or anything like that, just a great day to keep some memories alive. I know a lot of people on here are from the Yonkers/Woodlawn area (as i am and i see all of you out) and our field is about 10 minutes away on Shore Road in Pelham. Anyone wants more details, go to NYAC.org, 'sports teams', 'rugby'. Either way, see you at Connolly's Sat night!
